Push trigger

Run a workflow when new commits show up in your local repo.

Set the trigger to On push and optionally fill in a Branch (leave it blank to match any branch).

This is not a webhook. CID-app polls your local git folder (the one you set in Add a repository) roughly every 15 seconds, checks the current branch and latest local commit, and compares it against the last commit it saw. A run only starts when that local commit hash changes.

In practice this means: pushing to GitHub/GitLab alone does not trigger a run. You (or a cron job, or git pull in some other automation on the same machine) need to actually update the local checkout that CID-app is watching. The very first time CID sees a repo it just records the current commit as a baseline — it won't fire a run for commits that already existed before you set the local path.

This only runs while the CID-app process is open on the machine where the local repo lives — see Cron trigger for the same caveat.

On a shared project, every member's computer watches its own copy of the repository. When several of them get the same commit, the first computer to claim it runs the workflow and the others skip it, so each commit is built once.
