CID

Cron trigger

Run a workflow on a schedule.

Set the trigger to Schedule and enter a standard cron expression, e.g. 0 4 * * * for 4am daily. CID describes it in plain English as you type ("Runs at 04:00 AM"), and the Presets menu fills in common schedules like every hour or weekdays at 09:00.

The editor won't save a schedule it can't read — fix the highlighted expression first. If you need help building one, try the cron expression builder.

Schedules are timers inside the CID-app process itself — there's no separate background service. A workflow only fires on schedule while CID-app is open on some machine that's logged in and has picked up that workflow. Closing the app pauses all of its schedules.

On a shared project, any computer with CID open, signed in as an owner, admin or member, can start the scheduled run, and only one of them does. Changes to a schedule made on another computer are picked up within five minutes. Each computer reads the cron expression in its own time zone.
