CID

Create your account

Sign-up happens on the website — the desktop app only signs in.

There is no sign-up form inside CID-app. Accounts are created on the CID website at cid.pumpkins.dev — the Sign in screen in the app links out to it ("Don't have an account? Create one at cid.pumpkins.dev").

Register on the website

Go to cid.pumpkins.dev/signup and fill in name, email, and password (minimum 6 characters). This creates your account in the same backend the desktop app uses, and signs you in to your dashboard on the website.

Sign in on the desktop app

Open CID-app and enter the same email and password on the Sign in screen. There is no automatic hand-off between the website and the app yet, so registration and sign-in are two separate, manual steps.

Sessions last 7 days. After that you'll be dropped back to the Sign in screen the next time the app can reach the API. If the app is offline when your session would otherwise expire, it keeps you signed in with the last-known account info until it can reach the server again.

Your dashboard on the web

Sign in at cid.pumpkins.dev from any browser to see your projects (shared ones too), their workflows, members and servers, and every run with its full logs. You can also change your name, email or password, manage the members of projects you run, or delete your account there. Workflows still run from the desktop app.

Forgot your password?

  1. Go to cid.pumpkins.dev/forgot-password (or click Forgot it? on the website's sign-in page) and enter your account's email.
  2. Open the email from CID and click Choose a new password. The link works once, for one hour; asking again sends a new link and the old one stops working.
  3. Pick a new password (at least 6 characters). Use it to sign in to both the website and the desktop app.

The page says an email is on its way whether or not the address has an account, so it can't be used to find out who uses CID. No email after a few minutes? Check your spam folder, and that you used the address you signed up with.
