Create your first project
Projects group a repository, its workflows, servers, and secrets.
Once you're signed in, open Projects in the sidebar and click New project (or the add tile). After it's created, CID opens the project's Settings tab so you can choose its local folder straight away — see Add a repository.
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | A URL-safe slug is generated from this automatically. |
| Description | No | Plain text, shown on the project card. |
| Git repository URL | No | e.g. git@github.com:you/repo.git — stored as reference info only. CID does not clone or pull this for you; see Add a repository. |
| Default branch | No | Pre-filled with main. |
Project names only need to be unique among the owner's projects — if a name collides with one they already have, CID appends a number to the generated slug rather than rejecting it.
A new project is yours alone. To work on it with other people, invite them from its Members tab — see Teams & members.
